Company Description:

Sync Computing is on a mission to change the way we interact with the cloud. Built upon fundamental optimization algorithms developed at MIT, our technology allows computing resources to be chosen based ONLY on the two things that matter most: cost and time. Users get a simple way to choose resources which reliably match their needs, while organizations can rest easy knowing that their largest cloud workloads are running as efficiently as possible and driven only by the needs of the business. The future of computing will be distributed, defined not by individual processors but by the orchestration of many. Come build this future with us!

Job Description:

  • Build rapid system-level prototypes and iterate based on customer feedback.
  • Work closely with Product & Engineering teams to transition prototype systems into production.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of software engineering or research experience
  • Proficient in Python, C++, or other major programming languages.
  • Familiarity with modern data analytics/ML platforms (Spark, PyTorch, sk-learn, etc.)
  • Open minded problem solving skills – able to explore different methods given a goal.
  • Self driven, ability to effectively communicate in a remote work environment.
  • Preferable:
    • Experience in Airflow or other similar workflow managers.
    • Experience reading and modifying large open source software projects.
    • Experience in gRPC or REST APIs
